Makes two cups.


2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
2 cups Whole Milk
1 tsp Kosher Salt


Make a roux and gradually whisk in hot milk.


For a delicious Mornay sauce, add half a block of cream cheese, a cup of your favorite melting cheese, and a teaspoon of Creole seasoning; or keep it traditional and use a half cup each Gruyère and Parmesan.
