Fantastic with steaks.
- 1 lb cremini or white button mushrooms
- 8 oz heavy cream
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 tsp dried sage
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Slice mushrooms, mince garlic, and saute with butter, sage, black pepper, and a pinch of salt until all of the mushroom water has evaporated.
- Add cream and simmer over medium heat. Reduce until very thick.
- Season to taste.
