- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
Make a roux and gradually whisk in hot milk.
For a delicious Mornay sauce, add half a block of cream cheese, a cup of your favorite cheese, and a teaspoon of Creole Seasoning; or keep it traditional and use a half cup each Gruyère and Parmesan.
